FACEBOOK
The Official Facebook Gene Ha Visual Artist page
This is where I go to announce comics news and discuss comics and generally be an online comics geek.

My Personal Facebook page
This is where I do quick rants on politics, general culture, and announcements of stuff in my personal life. If you want news about my dog Nibbles, this is the place. Sorry, but unless I know you in real life I probably can't accept you as a personal Facebook Friend, I'm too close to Facebook's 5000 Friend limit.

WEBCOMICS
It's a well known problem that successful comic book artists don't have enough time to read all their favorite comics. I do find the time to read some of these.

Bad Machinery
John Allison's head is a weird place. But it produces a funny British horror and some excellent t-shirts. Seriously, I get compliments when I wear the t-shirts.

The Meek
If I were to start in comics today, I'd want to create something like Dershing Helmer's The Meek. Really beautifully drawn and colored and very personal. I'd assumed he came from an animation background because of The Meek's fluid poses, accurate by stylized anatomy and beautifully painted backgrounds. It turns out that she is a biologist who learned to draw and use Photoshop in her spare time. That blows my mind.

Multiplex
"A comic strip about life at the movies." A brilliant look at movies and geek culture today, from the POV of the staff of a movie multiplex. The characters keep growing deeper and more interesting. I can't stop reading this! Mondays and Fridays.

COMICS SITES

Bleeding Cool
When somebody wants to get out the ugly truth about the comics world, they talk to Rich Johnston. Often scurrilous, usually true.

Jess Nevins' Annotations Site
In addition to feverishly compiling who most everyone in Top 10 was, he does the same for any other giant multi-character bonanza he can find. It makes Alan Moore happy to know someone's doing this. But it's more hard work than he'd like to imagine.

BLOGS
What I read while I eats my lunch.

What it says: "A Directory of Wonderful Things"

Blue Girl, Red State
"Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform." Mark Twain

If this blog was a political party I'd write BGRS on my voter registration. A Navy brat married to an Air Force vet in a Midwestern red state. Gives a great perspective on military and political issues with a healthy dose of outrage.

Talking Points Memo
TPM started off as political commentary and analysis from one guy, Josh Marshall. But over time it's grown, and now has reporters scouring DC and NYC and breaking their own stories. With the catastrophic collapse in newspaper and cable news political reporting, TPM has become invaluable.

Original Art
There are two art dealers selling my older original pages. If you're interested in any of my work since the Top 10 original series, go to the store link above.

AlbertMoy.com
Great guy, great selection. Last I checked, he still had two Captain America covers, a Superman, and a large selection of Top 10 pages.

Gary Land
Another good place for my older stuff. He's got an Askani'son, a Doctor Who, a JLA Gallery, and lots of Top 10!

Minnesota Comics Folks
Cool folks I met when I lived in the frozen tundra:

Zander Cannon. Shad Petosky. Kevin Cannon. America's greatest comics studio!

UglyJuice.com
The model for Skywitch. Smart, funny and dangerous.
