My Superman House Auction done!
Thanks to everyone who placed bids on eBay to help raise money for the Superman house, the place where young Jerry Siegel first imagined Superman! All proceeds from the auction go to the Siegel and Shuster Society, which uses all that cash to fix up the Siegel home. More items are going up for sale this week, so it's not too late to bid, or to donate or buy the Chip Kidd t-shirt designs. The Frank Cho piece is naaaahhhssss.
Thanks to Brad Meltzer for putting the whole thing together. He's insanely busy with his career and family, but did this anyhow out of his love for comics history. Comics aren't that important in themselves, but when they inspire the best in us they're invaluable. A lot of very heroic people have been inspired by Superman.
Thank God he decided to use his powers for good!
