Interested in having Gene Ha do a signing at your Con or Store?
The deal is simple. If you can provide for transportation, a decent meal, and decent lodging for my wife and me, I'm willing to schedule an appearance. Go to the Mail link and send me a note!

New Hat

Hard at work on Top 10 still. Hope to get it done close to on time. No images to post until I'm further along.

However, I can show you pictures of me in my new An Hat!

I pleased by how much it makes me look like Comrade Bat.

Also, here's the other pic I did for the Calgary Expo to raise that charity money and promote the con:

Oooh, Bryan Lee O'Malley is showing up. I didn't know that. But apparently I'm not. Hmm, gonna have to ask them about that.

On another subject, I'm trying to figure out the politics of my new home, Berwyn IL. Back in Oak Park you could expect to see lots of Obama and Out of Iraq Now signs. Very liberal and educated. Berwyn is more Democratic and blue collar and Mexican. So guess who's the only presidential candidate with yard signs around here. Often 4 or 5 to a block.

Nope, not Richardson. Ron Paul. Is there a growing Mexican constituency for an anti-immigrant Republican? Or are my non-Latino neighbors rebelling against the new influx?

OOOH. New Top 10!!!! I had thought with the demise of ABC that these properties would languish and as the 10 were my favourite then that would be forever kicked down into the good-have-been leagues. Nice one.

Paul is more of Libertarian/Paleo Conservative than what you'd call an average Republican.
He is against illegal immigration, but it has more to do with economics than any kind of cultural agenda.
I enjoy your comics a lot, btw..

Ron Paul is the king of yard signs in my neighborhood too, it had me sweating back when the race was just getting started. I was curious so I went for a drive around my firmly-blue city. He had the most signs everywhere I drove.

I figured that he was a shoe-in based on what I was seeing. Being about 18% libertarian it didn't feel out of place. Now we're seeing that that it wasn't a good multiplier/indication..just a grassroots jump on the gun...if you're for Ron Paul...you gotta have a yard sign.
